[A] Church of St. Augustin [Augustinerstraße 3] built in the 14th century as the parish church of the imperial court.

Jewish Museum [Dorotheergasse 11]. The permanent exhibition demonstrates the history of Judaism in Vienna, as well as presenting numerous temporary shows on Jewish history, religion and culture. Just across the street is the Vienna Community Church [Dorotheergasse 16} offering non-denominational services in English.
[C] St. Stephen's Cathedral [Stephansplatz 3].
[D] Cathedral and Diocese Museum [Stephansplatz 6] with ecclesiastical items dating from the thirteenth century, including a selection of monstrances, reliquaries and alterpieces.
[E] Church of St. Peter [Petersplatz 6]. A fine example of Baroque architecture, the interior decoration ranks as some of the finest in Vienna.
[F] Maria am Gestade (St. Mary on the Strand) church [Salvatorgasse 12] is one of the few surviving examples of Gothic architecture in the city.
[G] City Synagogue [Seitenstettengasse 4]. One of the few synagogues to escape serious damage during the Nazi period, the impressive central dome gives a feeling of the heavens being supported by ionic columns.
[H] Church of the Dominicans [Postgasse 4], a fine Baroque style church, with an interior rich in rococo decoration and ornate frescoes (painted by three talented artists over three centuries).
[I] Church of the Jesuits [Doktor-Ignaz-Seipel-Platz 1]. Completed in 1631, embellishments to both the interior and façade were made at the beginning of the 18th century. Of particular note are the illusory trompe d'oeil effects, especially the illusion of the ceiling dome.
[J] Church of the Franciscans [Franziskanerplatz 4], a fine Baroque style church, with an interior rich in rococo decoration and ornate frescoes.
[K] Karlskirche [Karksplatz], an outstanding baroque church structures featuring a spectacular dome in the form of an elongated ellipsoid.
